# Manage your users

> Admins can invite people from your company, change their roles, resend a sign-in email, and deactivate or reactivate users on the Users tab.

If you have the **Admin** role, you can manage who at your company signs in to the portal. Select your initials in the upper right corner, then **Account**, then the **Users** tab. Only Admins see this tab. If you don't have it, ask an Admin at your company or your account manager.

The tab lists everyone on your account:

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Name** | The person's name and email. Your own row says *(you)*. |
| **Roles** | Their roles, or *View only* if they have none. See [Roles and permissions](/help/guides/roles-and-permissions). |
| **Status** | **Active**, **Invited (inactive)** (hasn't signed in yet), **Dormant** (hasn't signed in for a long time, but can still sign in), or **Deactivated**. |
| **Access** | **Can sign in** or **No access**. |

## Invite someone

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the invite form">
    Select **Invite user**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter their details">
    Enter their **Email** and **Full name**. You can only invite an email address that isn't already on DEKHQ.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose their roles">
    Check at least one role. Each role shows a short description of what it allows.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Select **Send invite**. You'll see *Invite sent to* their email, and they get an email to sign in.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If you see that the person was added but the invite email didn't send, open the **⋯** menu on their row and select **Resend invite**.

## Change someone's roles

Open the **⋯** menu on their row and select **Edit roles**. Each role has a checkbox and a one-line description of what it allows. Check or uncheck roles, then select **Save**. You'll see *Roles updated for* their name.

Your account must always keep at least one Admin. If a change isn't allowed, the dialog stays open and says *Not saved.* with the reason, such as *Your account must keep at least one Admin — make someone else an Admin first.* Nothing changes until you fix it and save again.

### Removing your own Admin role

You can uncheck **Admin** on your own row, but DEKHQ asks first: *Remove your own Admin role?* It explains that you'll lose access to **Users**, **Locations**, and **Shipper accounts** right away, and that only another Admin on your account can give it back. Select **Remove my Admin role** to go ahead, or **Cancel** to keep it. After you confirm, you'll see *You're no longer an Admin* and land on your **Profile** tab.

Removing Admin from someone else doesn't ask for confirmation.

## Resend a sign-in email

Open the **⋯** menu on the person's row and select **Resend invite**. You'll see *Sign-in email sent to* their email. Use this when someone can't find their invite or sign-in email.

## Deactivate or reactivate someone

To stop someone from signing in, open the **⋯** menu on their row and select **Deactivate**, then select **Deactivate** again to confirm. They're signed out right away and can't sign in to the portal. Their row shows **Deactivating…** and then **Deactivated** and **No access**, without reloading the page. Their orders and history stay, and you can reactivate them later.

You can't deactivate yourself: on your own row, **Deactivate** is greyed out with the note *You can't deactivate your own account — another Admin can.* You also can't deactivate your account's last Admin.

To let someone sign in again, open the **⋯** menu on their row and select **Reactivate**. You'll see *was reactivated* after their name. **Reactivate** is also offered for **Dormant** users. If a deactivated person's menu has no **Reactivate**, their access was turned off by your decorator; contact your account manager.
